Benjamin Howell was a cooper of Sagaponack (SHTR 6:93). It appearsthat he was married to Hannah Norris, daughter of Robert Norris. In1715, he was included in the Muster Roll of the Suffolk CountyRegiment. Benjamin Howell did not reside at Southampton village as hisname did not appear in the 1726 parish rate. (Descendants of EdwardHowell...2nd)

This will has just been found and does prove all the children ofBenjamin and Nancy. It was an unrecorded will, written June 6, 1744.The children may not be in order. The only dates for the children thatwe are sure of are Benjamin and Nathan's, and they are probably theyoungest. Witnesses: Elisha Howell, Elisha Howell, Jr., and JonahPavell.
