Buried in Mecox Graveyard, Southampton, NY .
On page 86 of "Memorials of Old Bridgehampton" it says: "Jeremiah Halseylived where his descendant, the late Oliver lived which was on the eastside of Halsey's Lane. A very old house was torn down there some yearsago. Personally I cannot make a positive location of the first house,though I think the records indicate the neighborhood of Paul's and HalseyLanes."
His will dated 20 December 1733, included a codicil of 24 December 1737and was proved 5 January 1738.
He first married Ruth ------, who was born circa 1668 and died 19 Dec.1717. Said to be buried in the Mecox Graveyard.

His Will dated Dec. 20, 1733, with codicil, proved in 1737, is recorded iBook 13 of wills New York County Page 303. He leaves his lands to hissons Jeremiah, Nathan and Elijah with legacies to his wife Deborah andhis daughters Experience and Abigail. Hed adds "the rest of my childrenhave received their portion already." Makes Jeremiah, Nathan, and Elijahhis executors. " The piece of cloth serge, my best leather breeches andsilver shoe buckles all these I give to Elisha."
