N., film 470017, item 2 pgs. 22/23 John Kirk & William Kirk, administrators and Anna Kirk, administratrix estate Stephen Kirk, late of Jones county sell to William Hunt, 101 1/4 acres #15, in 10th distr., adjoining Barren whatley and Hunt; wit; Levi Kirk, AlexanderJ. Hunt and Thomas Hunt. Jones county, Ga. deed book O, film 470018, pg. 352 Levi Kirk sells to Alexander J. Hunt, tract of land in 10th distr. of Jones, half of lot #30, containing 101 1/4 acres, known as McGough place, adjoining William Hunt and John Thomas, wit: William Barren, Thomas Hung, 12 Nov 1830. Alexander J. Hunt pg. 199, 1850 census Jones county, Ga., film 007071. Alexander 43 or born about 1807, wife Lucinda M. 28 or born abt. 1822. Oldest child William B. 16, is a student and no doubt son of Alexander's first marriage to Louisa Kirk,born abt. 1834. Next child in 1850 census for Alexander not born until 8 years later, Thomas J. 8-1850 or born 1842, therefore he and younger children likely to be from 2nd wife, Lucinda M.and not this mother. Therefore, sometime between 1836-1839 first wife Louisa must have died, as Lucinda M. in 1850 census too young to be Louisa Kirk.Jones county, Ga. will bk C, film 454232, pg. 32/3 Alexander J. Hunt will mentions wife and children as they come of age or marry. Since oldest son would have been of age by date of will 1 Feb 1848, he either had died or moved on by then and wasn't mentioned with children by his 2nd wife. Will proved 7 Feb 1853.
