[34713] Sources:IGI for Georgia shows a David Tilman born 30 July 1808 in Hancock county, Ga.(computer batch # 7514104 sheet 36) among his children are James and Lucretia who were reported born in Clarke county, Ga. Your Lucretia in census shows born about 1802 in Ga. IN Hancock county, Ga. deed book I pg. 165, Frederick and James Tillman sell to John Tillman, 200 acres on Little Ogechee, 22 Nov 1809. Hancock county, Ga. tax records,film 007,131 Hancock county tax records pg. 89 Bird and Mansfield Brazil, pg. 94 Frederick and James Tilman. Both of these lists in Capt Smith's distr. Hancock county, Ga. deed bk. F(film 022012), pg. 355 Henry Bankston sells to James Tilman, 20 Feb 1802, land Hancock county. This deed shows a Tilman in the county on Lucretia's birth year. The Hancock county, Ga. court of Ordinary records, BK. L pgs. 345/6 record estate of oneJohn Tilman dec'd, inventory and appraisement 7 April 1825. He died having underage children which are cited
in the probate documents on John and no Lucretia or Creasy is cited for John.
Therefore, without more probate for the other two men, she could come through either Frederick of James. I favor James since I can prove from deeds he was there during birth year of Lucretia.
