MRS. R.O. BELL JR.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday in Dannel and Horton Chapel for Mrs. R.O. Bell Jr., 71 former Sherman resident, who died Wednesday in Corpus Christi. Rev. Eddie Frazier of the FirstBaptist Church at Bailey will officiate, assisted by Billie T. Smith of the Shannon Church of Christ. Burial will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Born atEctor, Osha Odom was the daughter of Thomas N. and Nannie Power Odom, attendedSherman school and married to R.O. Bell Jr. on June 5, 1932 at Durant, Okla.They lived in Bailey 37 years before moving to Corpus Christi two years ago.She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Bailey.
She is survived by herhusband; daughters, Mrs. Mary Shockley of corpus Christi, Mrs. Nancy Oakley ofFort Worth, and Mrs. Ruth Ann Jennings of Choctaw, Okla.; Mrs. Kahma T. Odom Smith of Sherman; sister-in-law, Mrs. Les Tribble; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 P.M. Friday and at other times they will be at the Kahma T. Odom smith residence, 914 E. Houston.
Pallbearers will be Jule Mimms, John Becknell, Otha Turner, Grady Giddens, Lenwood Hale and Boog Savage all of Bailey.

R.O. and Osha met in Sherman Tx. R.O. and a friend had a b
lind date with Osha and a friend and were tomeet and Osha'
s house. Her house had two front doors, one to the livin
g room and one to her bedroom. As R.O and his friend walke
d up on the front porch, the door to Osha bedroom was ope
n and she and girlfriend were getting ready and R.O. saw Os
ha through the door. He turned to his friend and said "Tha
t's the woman I'm going to marry. You take the other one.
" And that's what happened.

ple are at home in Sherman.
