nTHE ABSALOM DONAHOO STORY, Rick Sydor, Dec 16, 1986 states that Michael
Donahoo was a Kentucky College Dean.
b. 1788 in Va, possibly Augusta County following path of migration of several
Donahoo families who moved first into the east counties of Tennesse, up through
Kentucky and on into Indiana. Father could have been named Peter or William.
Names of children the same as those of families found in eastern Tennessee.
1810 - ae 22 living in Knox County,Ky next to Henry Saunders Sr. and hisson. In the same county is Peter Briant,possibly father of Lavinia Briant.
Residing with Michael is his wife and daughter, b. abt 1809. Also, one male
over 45 years.
1814 - first son Peter Bryant Donahoo born in Knox County.
1820- Census - residing in Lawrence County, Indiana travelling with his
brothers and the family of his wife, living next Peter Bryant, p. 69.
1827 - son Absalom Donahoo born in Fountain County, Indiana.This could be
wrong as Michael did not own land in Fountain County, Township19, Range 6
until 25 Apr 1833.
1830 - listed in Montgomery County, Ind. wheresoN Peter was married.
1833 - April 25, purchased Sec 16, township 19, Range6 Fountain County -
others settling on that date Joseph McCalister/Phinas Small, p. 59 FOUNTAIN
COUNTY, INDIANA, COURT RECORDS/LUKE, BOOK I
1840 - censuslists 8 boys, 1 girl -
2 sons married.Linn County, Mo 1850 - census CedarCounty, Iowa ae 62, b. Va
1854 - Nebraska organized as a territory, Donahoo resided in Otoe County, 4
Mile Township, Nebraska City. Michael listed as pioneer in Otoe County
Pioneers, A Biographical Dictionary, Raymond E. Dale, p. III, 1963.
1862 listed as Old Settler, possibly buried in Otoe County.

Lloyd Donahoo, Omaha Nebraska has in his possession a letter written by a
grandnephew in which is stated: "Mike orMitchel Donahoo went to State of
Indiana, then to Iowa, then to Nebraska wherehe died. His wife's name was
"Vina". Children were Gidias, Sarah, Mary, Henry, George, Thomas, Absolam,
Joe, Morgan, Peter - Peter died in Linn Co., Iowa- his wife's name was Wanda"
