[103209] He served in the Revolutionary War as a Private in the 2nd Regt. ofN.Y. Militia commanded by Col. Thomas, from 20 Nov. 1780 to Jan. 1781,and was for a time confined in the Sugar House in New York City as aprisoner of the British. He lived in Somers, NY, where he wasco-supervisor of the town almost continuously from 1807 until hisdeath. He was one of the organizers of the Somers Presbyterian Church.(TAG-Owen)

Lowell Loren Seratt was buried in the San Joaquin Valley National
Cemetery. His obituary in the Modesto Bee stated that he was an Army
veteran, serving iscountry from 1943 to 1946. It says also that he was a
psychiatric technicianat Modesto State Hospital from 1945 to 1969 and
that he was an employee of the Stockton Terminal Eastern Railroad from
1969 to 1999.
