Mary was living with her son Henry Casson Clark in Ward One of

Avoyelles Parish at the time of the 1900 U.S. Census.

These note given to me by Greg Aymond

Polly is buried in the McCann Cemetery in Centerpoint; She died

in 1907; Aunt Eular Clark Brown was 10 yrs old when she died and

said she was buried beside a big tree in that cemetery. In 1986,

before the Clark family reunion, Daddy and I went to the

cemetery. There are only a few graves there with headstones and

several graves with no headstones near some trees. We had waited

too long to find the grave; Aunt Eular had already passed away.

While she was living, Aunt Eular, told Billy Deville several

stories about Grandma Polly. Billy was getting information on

the Deville Family Tree, and didn't write a lot of the things

down about the Clark side. Grandma Polly stayed with Aunt

Eular's parents (my great-grandfather, Thomas Jefferson and Mary

Ann) until she died. She died at their home. Grandma Polly also

smoked a corn-cob pipe. She called Aunt Eular "Pet" and would

have her light the pipe for her.
