Abraham Thomas and Willie Minor Pace were married in Bedford County, Virginia on November 28, 1878 by the Rev. J. Harrison. They were the parents of seven children, three girls and four boys. Mr. Howell was, by profession, a millwright. He owned & operated Catawba Mills, located on the outskirts of Fincastle, Virginia.
