[2099] He was a farmer and the first known of several Seth Saltmarshes. His sonand grandson bore the same name, the latter being a doctor and the fatherof Ernest Olmstead Saltmarsh.

Died at Richard Hazen Kimballs, according to Vital Records of Haverhill.

From the Winifred Saltmarsh Raines collection:
Seth was one of the Minutemen who marched behind the Bedford flag at theopening battles of the Rev. War. Seth was wealthy, since he received thelarges amount of his fathers estate.

Possibly had a relative and their children living with him in 1800. Shows2 males 0-10, 1 26-45, 1 45+ (Seth), and 1 female 16-26, 1 26-45, 1 45+(Ruth). Not any sons or daughters as the ages don't fit.
