1. Samuel Tillman Howell1 was born2 on 24 November 1870 in Arkansas, the son of David Smart Howell and Mary Susan Allen.  Samuel worked as a railroad conductor (see the left picture, above).  He married three times: (1) Annie Johnson Boone, born in 1879 in Texas; (2) Ruth Stafford Williams on 19 November 1927. Ruth was born on 4 August 1885. She died on 17 March 1955. She was buried on 20 March 1955 in Eastland, Texas.  Samuel married3 (3) Ellen-Ann Aberilla "Rilla" Gunn 1, 2 on 30 December 1888 in Hempstead County, Arkansas. Ellen-Ann was born4 on 15 June 1870 in Arkansas. She died5 on 7 March 1907, barely four years after the birth of their last child. She was buried on 10 March 1907 in Trent, Texas.  Samuel died3 on 26 May 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas, having raised their children himself.

Samuel Howell and Rilla Gunn had the following children:

  2 F i Clara Lee Howell was born on 19 December 1905. She died on 13 February 1991 in Tarrant County, Texas. She was buried in 1991 in Ft. Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.  Clara married Elmer Lee Murray Cummings on 10 September 1905. Elmer was born on 17 March 1895. He died on 23 April 1941. He was buried on 27 April 1941 in Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas.  They had one child.
+ 3 F ii Debbie Nell Howell was born on 9 October 1889. She died on 19 June 1981.
+ 4 M iii Ideal McRea Howell was born on 24 December 1892. He died on 1 July 1978.
  5 M iv Clark Howell was born on 14 August 1893 in Prescott, Hempstead County, Arkansas. He died on 6 March 1967. He was buried on 9 March 1967 in Anetta, Tx, near Fort Worth, Texas.  He married twice.
+ 6 F v Jeffie Aurora Howell was born on 18 May 1897. She died on 1 January 1978.
+ 7 F vi Hattie Howell was born on 15 January 1901. She died on 17 February 1984.
  8 F vii Baby Girl Howell was born on 23 June 1903. She died on 25 June 1903. She was buried on 28 June 1903 in Trent, Taylor County, Texas.

3. Debbie Nell Howell1  was born2 on 9 October 1889 in Yellville, Marion County, Arkansas. She died3 on 19 June 1981 in Delano, California. She was buried on 22 June 1991 in North Kern Cemetery, Delano, California.

Debbie married2  John Luchase Williams1 on 2 September 1906 in Trent, Taylor County, Texas. John was born3 on 3 April 1887 in Marshall, Arkansas. He died4 on 27 December 1969. He was buried on 30 December 1969 in North Kern Cemetery, Delano, California.

They had thirteen children:

  9 M i William Williams was born on 16 October 1907 in Trent, Taylor County, Texas. He died on 30 October 1907 in Trent, Taylor County, Texas. He was buried in Trent, Taylor County, Texas.
+ 10 M ii John Truett Williams was born on 26 April 1909. He died on 24 January 1954.
  11 F iii Rilla Williams was born in 1910. She died in 1910. She was buried in Trent, Taylor County, Texas.
+ 12 M iv Buford Lowery Williams was born on 19 January 1912. He died on 7 May 1997.
  13 M v Leslie Ford Williams1 was born on 9 November 1913 in Goree, Knox County, Texas . He died in June 2000 in Buttonwillow, Kern County, California.   Leslie  married (2) Doris Bertha Carrithers1 on 17 August 1941 in Delano, Kern County, California.  Doris was born2 on 1 September 1904 in Pasadena, Los Angeles County, California. She died3 about 1991.
+ 14 F vi Mary P. Williams, born about 1915 in Texas.
  15 F vii Jeffie Irene Williams was born2 on 29 July 1917. She died in December 1995 in Bakersfield, California.  Jeffie married (1) Wallace Morton Swan.1  She married (2) Raymond Ernest Bell,1 born2 on 9 January 1907 in St. Albans, Franklin County, Vermont. He died3 on 5 July 1977 in Riverside, California.  They had three children.
+ 16 F viii Una Fay Williams was born on 13 December 1919. She died on 23 October 1968.
  17 F ix Nina B. Williams, born about 1922 in Texas.  Married Irvin Warren Kibbe1. Irvin was born on 8 November 1916 in South Dakota. He died on 28 September 1992 in Kern County, California.  They had four children.
  18 M x William Clark Williams was born in January 1925 in Post, Garza County, Texas . He died on 30 January 2004 in Buttonwillow, Kern County, California. He was buried in January 2004 in Shafter Cemetery, Shafter, Kern County, California.  William married Mary Uvon Nored1,2 on 31 August 1947 in Delano, Kern County, California. Mary was born3 after 1910. She died on 20 March 2004 in Buttonwillow, Kern County, California. She was buried on 23 March 2004 in Shafter Cemetery, Santa Fe Way in Burbank, Shafter County, California.  They had three children.
  19 F xi Frances Louise Williams was born on 17 September 1927 in Texas. She died on 14 October 1987 in Delano, California.  Frances married and bore four children.
  20 M xii James Williams, born about 1929 in Texas..
  21 M xiii Joseph Barton Williams was born 4 March 1931 in Texas. He died on 29 December 1994 in Kern County, California.  Joseph married Jerry Ann Ragsdale1. Jerry was born on 31 July 1933 in Oklahoma. She died on 17 December 1995 in Kern County, California.  They had five children.

4. Ideal McRea Howell  was born on 24 December 1892 in Prescott, Hempstead County, Arkansas. He died on 1 July 1978 in Tarrant County, Texas. He was buried in 1978 in Ft. Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.   Ideal married Jennie Vieve McRee.  She was born on 26 October 1893 in Lilac, Milam County, Texas. View Ideal's World War I draft registration here. They had four children, one of whom was:

  22 M i Baby Boy Howell was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas.

6. Jeffie Aurora Howell was born on 18 May 1897. She died on 1 January 1978 in Tarrant County, Texas. She was buried in 1978 in Tarrant County, Texas. Jeffie married (1) Homer B. Terry on 30 August 1915. Homer was born on 26 December 1894. He died on 9 May 1945. He was buried on 12 May 1945 in Clyde, Texas.  Jeffie married a second time.

Homer Terry and Jeffie Howell had four children, one of whom was:

  23 M i Howell Lee Terry was born on 22 July 1922. He died on 23 July 1922. He was buried on 25 July 1922 in Meridian, Texas.

7. Hattie Howell  was born on 15 January 1901. She died on 17 February 1984 in Tarrant County, Texas. She was buried in 1984 in Tarrant County, Texas.  Hattie married twice: (1) Miles Oren Smith. Miles was born on 15 August 1895. He died on 5 May 1927. He was buried on 8 May 1922 in Greenwood Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas; (2) Living.

Miles Smith and Hattie Howell had the following child:

  24 M i Miles Oren Smith was born on 12 September 1925. He died on 25 January 1988 in Dallas County, Texas.

 

Generation III

10. John Truett Williams1 was born2 on 26 April 1909 in Trent, Taylor County, Texas. He died3 on 24 January 1954 in Bakersfield, Kern County, California. He was buried on 27 January 1954 in North Kern Cemetery, Delano, California.  John married2  Velma Lee Patton1 on 24 December 1928. Velma was born3 on 2 November 1910 in Cook Co., Texas. She died4 on 31 July 1964 in Montebello, Los Angeles County, California.

They had five children, two of whom were:

  25 F i June Patton Williams1 was born2 on 9 October 1932 in George West, Live Oak County, Texas. She died3 on 11 April 1955 in Los Angeles, California. She was buried on 14 April 1955 in North Kern Cemetery, Delano, California.
  26 F ii Peggy Jean Williams1 was born2 in January 1936 in Beeville, Bee County, Texas. She died3 in February 1936 in Beeville, Bee County, Texas.

12. Buford Lowery Williams1  was born on 19 January 1912 in Jones County, Texas. He died on 7 May 1997 in Tulare, California.

Buford married and had two children, one of whom was:

  27 F i Alene Joyce Williams1 was born2 on 19 July 1937 in Bakersfield, Kern County, California. She died3 on 5 October 1937 in Bakersfield, Kern County, California.

14. Mary P. Williams  was born about 1915 in Texas.  She married Franklin Maxwell Conrad1. Franklin was born on 15 April 1915 in Oregon. He died on 1 May 1996 in Kern County, California.

They had three children, one of whom was:

  28 F i Bernitta June Conrad was born on 31 October 1941 in Bakersfield, California. She died on 7 March 2004 in Bakersfield, California. Bernitta married Keith Hunt1 on 10 July 1959 in St. George, Utah. Keith was born on 3 September 1941 in Bakersfield, California. He died on 2 January 1996 in Bakersfield, California. He was buried in January 1996 in Bakersfield, California.  They had three children.

16. Una Fay Williams1  was born2 on 13 December 1919 in Merkel, Taylor County, Texas. She died3 on 23 October 1968 in San Louis Obispo, California. She was buried in October 1968 in Arroyo Grande, California.  Una married James Richard Evans1 in 1940 in Delano, California. James was born2 on 17 March 1918 in Los Angeles, California 608 Auditorium Bldg.. He died3 on 13 February 1994 in Pismo Beach, California. He was buried on 15 February 1994 in Arroyo Grande, California. James was employed as a furniture salesman and a bartender in Delano, California. He was employed as school custodian in Arroyo Grande, California.

They had five children, three of whom were:

  29 M i John Leslie Evans was born on  13 March 1943 in Mercy Hospital, Bakersfield, California. He died on 17 April 2003 in Bakersfield, California. He was cremated on 19 April 2003 and his ashes scattered.  John married and had two children.
  30 F ii Mary Irene Evans was born on 12 March 1948. She died on 24 September 2003.  She married twice and bore four children, 2 with each husband.
  31 F iii Paula Louise Evans was born on 26 April 1951 in Delano, California. She died on 3 December 1987 in Bakersfield, California. She was buried in Arroyo Grande, California.
